What types of data can OCIE(TM) handle?

OCIE includes the ability to archive any type of data: imaging, computer output or specialized database coming from other applications. In the case of specialized data, information is returned to the authoring application for viewing. The OCIE data for archive purposes is maintained in a computer output format such as ASCII, postscript or other printable form.
This output transcends the application that created it and may be viewed readily by today's systems. For example, a computer output from a spreadsheet in 1982 would still be readable today even though the databases from the 1982 spreadsheet may not be processable by the current version of that application!
